Exeter College is committed to Exeter City Council’s plan to make Exeter carbon neutral by 2030, adopting a coordinated approach and action at local, regional and national levels to address the challenge of carbon emissions and energy use in cities. The college sought the installation via MITIE (a large M&E firm), which then chose ZLC Energy as the best option for the project.
The college had recently built new sports halls, which needed hot water for the showers and washing facilities. While solving this issue, Exeter College sought a carbon-friendly solution that could help reduce rising energy costs.
ZLC Energy, contracted by MITIE, installed a series of Solar Thermal panels mounted on the roof of the building. Installation was completed quickly and without issue outside of term time to avoid any possible disruption.

"We were glad to find ZLC Energy after a difficult search for competent commercial Solar Thermal installers. They ensured that all safety planning, procedures, and implementation requirements were met and got on with the job on site without fuss. A great team, happy to work with them again."
