When it comes to luxury holiday cottages, Bosinver has it covered; from eco homes to carefully converted former farmhouses, each of our cottages has been individually designed with luxury in mind.

About Bosinver
Laid out much like a small hamlet, Bosinver Farm truly is a magical place. Set in a tranquil valley not far from the south coast, their 20 holiday cottages sit in 35 acres of wildflower meadows and beautifully landscaped gardens.
As part of their commitment to sustainable tourism, Bosniver built a zero carbon eco-house Lowen in 2011. It’s carbon neutral and energy self-sufficient, utilising PV panels and a ground-source heat pump to provide electricity, heating, and hot water to the house. Lowen generates enough electricity to power itself plus two cottages and send energy back to the grid, and has its own EV (electric vehicle) charger for Lowen guests to use.
The indoor swimming pool is heated by solar energy and renewable technologies and has a PV solar array to generate 50% of its electricity needs.
What was their goal?
As part of an ongoing decarbonisation programme, Bosinver want to give all its guests a magical, memorable holiday, while minimising the impact we all have on the environment. They’ve always understood the fragile balance of the environment and the demands we all make on it.
How did we help?
We delivered a 52kWp ground-mounted Solar PV installation in a field adjacent to the holiday cottages. Value engineering of the design allowed us to maximise the use of the same space for a lower cost. The generation of the array has been split between two buildings, resulting in greater self-consumption of energy, which maximises power and cost savings.
