The Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Foundation Trust (RJAH) is a leading orthopaedic centre of excellence. A specialist hospital with a reputation for innovation, the Trust provides a comprehensive range of musculoskeletal (bone, joint and tissue) surgical, medical and rehabilitation services; locally, regionally and nationally.
The NHS Trust is driving down its carbon footprint to tackle the Climate Emergency. This is the largest single CO2 reduction project RJAH has carried out to date. ZLC Energy was selected to deliver its Solar PV framework by 2025.
We developed & delivered 1.5MW Rooftop Solar PV installations and are currently delivering 500kW of Solar Car Port across the Hospital Car Parks. The systems were designed to minimise business interruption during installation and to ensure safe future maintenance & repair. 600 kW of Solar PV was installed across the Hospital at the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The full system has a 2-year yield guarantee via ZLC Energy’s AdvantEdge qualification with Solar Edge.
