Green Open Homes with West Cornwall Community Renewables

Do you have a “green” home?

Have you insulated your home, put solar panels on your roof, installed a smart meter or even built your own eco home? If so, and live in the West Cornwall / Penwith area then community group West Cornwall Community Renewables (WCCR) would like to hear from you.

Following the success of their recent ‘Power to Penwith’ project WCCR are organising a Green Open Homes event in May and are looking for householders who have made energy and environmental improvements, large or small, who would be willing to share their experience and their homes with other local people interested in installing green home improvements.

WCCR are interested in people’s homes with all types of improvements, from installing an energy efficient boiler or carrying out simple draught proofing measures to those who have undertaken a full green makeover and invested in renewable energy.

Participants will be given the option to open their home for up to 4 half day sessions depending on their availability, so WCCR would love to hear from anyone who has made green improvements to their home and would be happy to share their experiences with other local people.

WCCR will provide participants with a range of guidance on what to do and information to give out to visitors, as well as organising the events and being there to support home owners on the day. The event is supported through a grant from ‘Green Open Homes’.
